Thanksgiving was fantastical, fab, as always. There was turkey; dark meat, light meat, there were turnips, which I adore, stuffing, bruselsprouts, carrots, cranberry sauce, and a really nice butternut squash soup. All really good. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my cousin, who cooked the dinner, is a chef... But, I don't know. Desert? Oh... Yum. Pumpkin pie, Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Cream, Apple, Blueberry, and Pear. Oh man was it good. I sincerly enjoyed myself.
And, of course, there was the cutest little cousin in the world present; Carson. He's adorable. He took my phone off of the table and was going "Hallo? Hallo?" Into it. It was cute. My cousin Emily was there too...
So, yes, I have a lot to be thankful for, but I promised some friends that I'd make a full list, so, I'm going to.
The three of us made a "gameplan" so that we could get up *semi* early so we could go shopping. Now, lemme clear something up, we didn't get up before four, so we could beat the CRAZY LINES. No, we were happily part of the crazy lines. I don't understand the mechanics of it, but apparently it has something to do with the fact that most stores are in the "Red" by the time Thanksgiving rolls around, and they need to get back into the "Black" to start making money. Black... Black Friday... Yeah.
So, we decided that we would leave a little after seven, so that we could head over to Target. Mom wanted to buy some electric drum pads for work, and I needed some clothes, so... Target was the place to go. Not to mention that I was shopping around for the prices of the FlipCam, so there was a place to check too.
Auntie Helen got some shirts, I got a shirt (mainly because I spilt hot chocolate on it after we went to Bagel Man. Can I just say that a plain bagel, toasted, with cream cheese, tomato and locks is amazing? Yum x131273019731. Wow factor, right thee.) and Mom got a few sweaters. Then we left Target and headed to Wal-Mart.
Now, the line at Target wrapped around the store, almost completely. It started at the register, went back past the like "Home Goods" section, down next to the Christmas trees, and then took another turn all the way past electronics and then another down back to the registers. It was crazy long, but at least the people were working really hard, earning their pay, and the line was moving pretty fast.
But that was nothing compared to the amount of people at Wal-Mart. And this really baffled me, because Wal-Mart had been open all night, because they were trying to avoid another "Black Friday Fatality". (If you didn't hear about it on the news, last year, a crazed mob trampled a man.... or woman, can't remember which, because they were trying to be the first people into the store as it opened.) But there were people everywhere! I couldn't even go in to check and see if there was a FlipCam... Oh well, we already bought it. (Santa's coming shopping online with me this year.)
We braved Khols after that, and Mom and I bought a pair of boots each, a pair of slippers for Tommy, as well as some clothes for him. (Don't tell!) The line there was pretty long.
Oh, and as a side note, I got about four calls from different people telling them that I had called them... My phone is prone to butt-diling, what can I say?
Long about the time we were at Khols, looking through the pots and pans section, (I refer to it as the Wooden Spoon section. I have since I was little, only because to me, all of those places, Pottery Barn, the isle with the spices at the grocery store, it all smells like wooden spoons, and I really don't like that smell... I just don't.) Mom realized that we were supposed to meet her friend Angela. (Long time NYC roommate.)
She called, and we made plans to go out for lunch a little after one. Which would have been fine, except that I got a text from a few of my friends saying that's when we were going to the Movies. I opted for lunch. I hadn't seen Angela's family in a really long time, and I missed them. The last time I saw Genna (her oldest daughter) was when she was like two, and I had never met the youngst one, Kara. We went to Chili's, ate some lunch, and then went back to the house.
Aright, so... then it happened. I was downloading something, and my computer just shut off. I was like... "What the hell?" So I re-booted. My desktop? Gone. There was this new thing on there. "Security Tool" I told my Mom, and we tried removing it, like you would a regular program, but it wasn't in there... Then I got the blue screen of death, and I flipped out. I called BestBuy, and the guy was like "Well, it's a virus." Like I didn't know that already. He told me I could bring it in for a "diagnostic check" and if there was a virus, they would have to wipe my entire hardrive to get rid of it, or they could just re-install Vista. Either way, I was getting my hardrive wiped. $199. No freeking way. And to back up my pictures, videos, music and documents? Another $99. Ugh. I told him that I'd call back later, and I went downstairs, sharing the news with my Mom.
I was able to locate where Security Tool was saved, but I didn't dare delete it. I didn't explain what Security Tool is. According to Wiki, it's what's called "ScareWare" which is basically fake SpyWare. What Security Tool does, is convince you that there is a virus on your computer. (There is... Security Tool...) It tries to get you to put in your credit card number and other information to get you to upgrade your Security Tool experience. When it had that, it loads virus' onto your computer, and you're screwed.
I kept calm, and plugged in my external hardrive, sending over my documents, pictures, videos, music, and a few other things that I really cared about. Then, I braced myself for the worst, and tried to re-set my computer, back to a previous date. (Who knew you could do that....) It worked. My computer is "Security Tool" free. And it should remain that way.
Want to hear my thoughts? I think that Security Tool, and most ScareWares were developed to try and get people to buy more SpyWare and AntiVirus software. People are smart. But seriously, what do they have to gain by wiping my hardrive? I haven't done anything wrong... Too bad for them, I won.
Meanwhile...
While all of this was going on, Mom was playing Spyro the Dragon. Have you ever played that game? It was the first video game that I ever played, coming out for the PlayStation system in 1998, when I was four years old. The (original) game fortells the life of a young dragon, Spyro, and his dragonfly-friend Sparx, who is his health-meter, (turning blue, then green, then disappearing if Spyro gets hurt too many times) and main jewel collecter, as they try to rescue eighty dragons and 12000 in five different worlds that have been captured by the infamous Gnasty Gnorc, leader of the gnorcs.
I love this game. I could seriously write an entire walkthrough for it while sleeping. I've played it and beat it way far too many times. It's probably unhealthy... So, she was playing that. Heading through Artisans into Peace Keepers, through Magic Crafters, on, towards Beast Makers, to Dream Weavers, and finally to Gnasty's World, a twisted world composed of a single island with a few portals to direct you to the levels, or areas. Whichever...
Along the way, Spyro encounters several "bosses" including Toasty; a sheep on stilts wearing a highly convincing brown cloak and hat with a pumpkin head, Dr. Shemp, a large, orange, green-haired gnorc with silver, fire proof armor and a long stick which he uses to smack you with, Blowhard; a tornado with a face and a hat, which shoots bolts of lightning at you, Metalhead, a large robot with a pink mohawk who relies on the help of his monkey friends, and Jaques, a "jack in the box" who throws boxes at you. Each get increasingly difficult, and are very fun.
I should really write about everything about Spyro, but I don't have the time, or blog space. Maybe some day...
I did want to tell you that this will probably be the last time that I do an enormous blog like this, composed of so many different elements. From now on, I think I'm going to stick to different blogs about different things in different post.
Like, if I want to talk about my cat, King (He's the cutest in the world, hands down.) than I would do a seperate post than with my opinion on New Moon. Which I'm going to do right now.
New Moon:
☆☆☆☆ (Out of ten)
The plot, I appreciated. The way Chris Weitz (the director of both movies) kept close attention to the details and emotion baggage changes that Bella goes through was very well done, I thought. They depicted exactly what the books did, and made it hotter with Taylor (Jacob).
I gave one star to casting, because I thought that was really well done, with Taylor as Jacob, and the way they cast Quil and Embry and how Dakota Fanning was fantasticly portraying Jane, even if she was only in about three minutes of the movie, one star to how they stuck to the book, one star to the special effects they used, and one star to the mediocre acting/hottness of Jacob. I love Jacob.
So, not too bad. Better than the first movie, in my opinion, with how it stuck to the book. I liked it, it was okay.
Can I just say that it took me two days to write all of this? Not a full 48 hours, of course, but I worked on it (and then my computer spazzed) and then I worked on it again today? Thank God for frequent draft saving.
Until next time,
Smile, Smile, Crocodiles.

So, yes, I have a lot to be thankful for, but I promised some friends that I'd make a full list, so, I'm going to.
- I'm thankful for my family; my Mom, Tommy, Noah, Jake, Kori, Brooke, Dad, Karlie, Nanna, Roger, Grandma, Papa, Grandma, Laurie, Michael, Kyle, Kate, Jeff, Sandy, Emily, Kristie, Chris, Carson, Dorothy, Carl, Aunt Amy, Evan, Casey, Uncle Steven, Alex, Jack, Uncle Frankie, Aunt Crystal, Aunt Sydney, Anna and Sophie.
- I'm thankful for my pets; Tiger, King, Blue-Ray Flippers, Gretchen, Jack, Hershey, and (even though he's Kori's...) Sammie.
- I'm thankful for all of my favorite things; my laptop, my DS, my cell phone, my camera, my Wii, my PS2, and all of the other "electronicy" things that we own as a family.
- I'm thankful that I have a roof above my head, clothes on my back, God at my side, and food at the table each and every night.
- I'm thankful for my Mother's strive to do well in school, and work full time at Melrose, so that she can get a better job and finally be able to sit down.
- I'm thankful that my Dad is talking to me again, and that we can have plesant conversations everyonce in a while.
- I'm thankful for all of my friends, both online and IRL (In real life for y'all who aren't constantly on the interwebs...)
- I'm thankful.

*I just realized how long this is. That's insane... I forgot to mention to prepare for more movie reviews, I'll probably be doing a few more of them.*
