"Alice, wake up." He said. He nudged her with the tip of his ear.

Alice stirred, opening her blue eyes to ebrace consciousness. She looked at the rabbit. "Oh!" She gasped.

"Not used to a rabbit talking to ye, eh? Eh." He grunted, standing up and hopping over to the left among a few bright blue ferns. "But what you don't understand is that everyone can talk here. Rabbits. Cats." He pointed into a tree. A striped cat licked his paw.

"Oh my." Alice stared in wonder as the cat smiled and disappeared.

"Yes. Wonderous isn't it?" The cat asked. It materialized right in front of her, rubbing against her legs. "Of course, wonderous is as wonderous does." The cat disappeared again. "Right?" his ominous voice sounded.

Alice blinked several times, smoothing her blue dress and looking at the rabbit. He gasped suddenly, pulling out a gold watch. "I'M LATE!" He screetched, bouncing away down a path that closed up around him.

"Mr. Rabbit?" Alice called, trying to get through the bushes where he had gone, without success. "Mr. Cat, Mr. Cat, where did the rabbit go?" She asked innocently.

"The looking glass knows all." He smirked bouncing away like the rabbit had.
